Rotary helps prevent eye disease in partnership with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness
About 80 percent of the world’s 285 million visually impaired people have treatable eye diseases, according to the World Health Organization. Rotary and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) aim to promote eye health to underserved communities.
Helping to Make Children’s Vision Count Optometry Giving Sight is once again inviting all those who value good vision to support its major fundraising campaign for the year, the World Sight Day Challenge. The Challenge will run throughout October – with World Sight Day being celebrated on Thursday October 12th.
Signatories hope that the School will commence in October (Denver, CO: July 18th 2017). A Memorandum of Agreement has been signed to establish the first ever School of Optometry in Haiti.
