Anguyo Dralega started his optometry career in 1987 when he graduated with a Diploma in Optometry from the Institute of Optometry in Khartoum, Sudan. He went on to attain his B.Sc.(Hons) and M.Sc. in Optometry from the Department of Optometry at Bradford University. He is a member of the General Optical Council and College of Optometrists in the U.K.
Anguyo has practiced as an optometrist since 1987 in parts of Africa and the U.K. He is currently Managing Director of Golden Eye Surgery and Optical Services and Executive Director and an optometrist for Med Optics Group. Anguyo is the co-founder of the Optometrists Association of Uganda (OAU) and was Chairman of the association from 2007-2013. He is current President of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) Uganda Chapter and Immediate Past President of the African Council Optometrists (AFCO), and WCO committee member on the Public Health committee.
Anguyo is the coordinator and lecturer of the optometry program at Makerere University, and Acting Head of Allied Health Sciences Department, Makerere University. Kampala, Uganda. He is married and blessed with four children.
