He led two Advocacy Campaigns with empowerment from the WCO Advocacy Course. Firstly, to establish the Cameroon Council of Optometry (CCO), that regulates the Optometry profession in the country, by getting the profession recognised and classified as the sixth Health Care Professional body in the country. Secondly, to start a Doctor of Optometry (OD) programme at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Buea, Cameroon, to be the first School to train ODs in the Country. These among others, earned him the title of the “Father of Optometry” in Cameroon.
