Dr. Manal Elsharif, EMCO Regional Representative

Dr. Elsharif is a Senior Optometrist at Khartoum Eye Hospital, and she has worked at the hospital since 1995. She is also the General Manager and Founder of Aladwaa Optic Company, Khartoum in Sudan, which was established in 1999.

She earned her Diploma in Optometry and Visual Science in 1991, B.Sc. in Law in 1993, , Diploma of International Relations in 1996, B.Sc. in Optometry and Visual Science in 2001, and Masters of Science in Optometry and Visual Science in 2005.

Dr. Elsharif is the President of the Sudan Optometrists Union (SOU) since 2015. IN addition, she has served as the Eastern Mediterranean Council of Optometry (EMCO) Vice President in 2017 and will be the EMCO President-Elect in 2021.
