Individual Membership

Individual Membership is open to individual optometrists (as defined by WCO), vision scientists, faculty, researchers, and eye care industry professionals. Your Individual Membership contributes to advancing optometric education and legislation around the world.

If you are not already a member of your national organization, we encourage you to join the national organization in your country in order to support the development of optometry both nationally and internationally.

Optometry Students

If you are currently a student, you are eligible to sign up for our Student Connection to receive WCO communications. We look forward to your contributions to the optometric field and having you join WCO as an individual Member upon graduation.

Individual Membership Benefits

Membership Dues

Individual Membership dues will be $52 USD or $104 USD per year based on country of residence and World Bank category.

The WCO annual membership cycle runs from January 1st-December 31st. If you apply for membership after September 1, your membership dues will be prorated on a monthly basis.
