Ms. Ntombikayise Zitha, WCO Public Health Committee Chair

Ntombikayise Zitha is a dedicated optometrist in private practice with a longstanding passion for public health. She has served on the Public Health Committee of the South African Optometric Association (SAOA) since 2018 and was appointed Chair of the committee in 2024. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the portfolio.

In recognition of her commitment to community service, she was honored with the ASAIPA National Medical Award for Community Service in 2021.

Ms. Zitha has been a committee member of the World Council of Optometry (WCO) since 2023 and currently serves as Chairperson of the WCO Public Health Committee.
